Physician, inventor, husband, father, and follower of Jesus, Dr. Mark Johnston shares deeply personal stories and insights from many encounters with God. Some stem from simple obedience. Some stem from intimate experiences of hearing the Lord's voice. And some are tales of hard seasons of endurance and trust, believing that God is faithful to His promises, even when there's no visible evidence.

Each of these encounters serve as cairns for Mark. If you've heard of a cairn, you may only know that term as a pile of rocks that marks the way along a hiker's path. Mark shares 17 stories of cairns that have been prominent events or seasons in helping him navigate the way in his journey of faith and Christian devotion.

17 Cairns is Mark's premiere book. Each cairn story (or chapter) ends with questions for personal reflection or group discussion. You can read the introduction here.
